Need A Brighter Smile For Your Wedding Day? 3 Easy Methods For Whiter Teeth

by Randy Rodriguez

Getting everything ready for your wedding day can be fun and stressful all at the same time. While you are planning the food and the flowers, you should also plan some time to take care of your own personal needs. One thing to think about is your smile. A bright smile on your wedding day is the perfect accessory for any bride. Here are some teeth whitening methods to consider:

Baking Soda

For an inexpensive teeth whitener, you can use a paste made from some baking soda and water. Simply take about a tablespoon of baking soda and place it in a cup. Add enough water to make it a thick paste. To freshen the mixture and make it a bit more palatable, you can add a dot of toothpaste to it. Mix it up completely and use it as you would toothpaste. Do this three to five times a week. You will begin to notice a difference within a few weeks.

Whitening Strips

Another way to brighten your teeth for your big day is using whitening strips. These are available in almost any drug store or grocery store and are fairly inexpensive. They are available in a variety of strengths. Some promise a difference after one use while others say that it will take two weeks to notice your teeth becoming whiter. If you have more sensitive teeth, you may want to use the strips that take longer, since they are not as strong.

Bleaching Gels

Bleaching gel is another alternative. The gel comes in a tube, similar to toothpaste, and can be applied in a number of ways. You can paint it on using your fingertips, or you can place it in a mouth guard that you can get form the dentist. Mouth guards are simply mouthpieces that are designed to fit to your mouth. Place some of the gel inside the mouth guard and place it in your mouth for the prescribed amount of time.

Professional Whitening

If you don't have a lot of time before your wedding to get your teeth whitened, you can always go to the dentist for professional whitening. Keep in mind that that this option is much more expensive, but you will often see immediate results. The process usually takes one to two hours to complete, and you may have to have more than one session before you achieve the desired result.

Getting prepared for your wedding day can be fun and exciting, but don't forget to take care of your own personal needs. If you need to freshen up your smile, be sure to start the process a few months before your wedding day. This will give you a good amount of time to have your smile as bright as your wedding dress.
